Manuel C. Medeiros

Manuel C. Medeiros, 85, of East Falmouth died on November 12, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Betty (George) Medeiros for 63 years.  He was born in Falmouth and a graduate of Lawrence High School. He served in the US Air Force and worked as an air traffic controller for Otis Air Force Base until his retirement in the early 90s. Manuel was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed coin collecting, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Sandra Sherlock and Susan Ellis; grandsons, Ryan Sherlock and Daniel Ellis and 4 great grandchildren, all of East Falmouth. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Myron Jr., Antone, and Mary Medeiros.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, Nov. 16 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy, E. Falmouth. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s cemetery.
