Manuel Cardoso do Amaral

FALMOUTH--Manuel Cardoso do Amaral, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2019 at the Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth, MA. The son of late José Pereira do Amaral and Maria Francisca Cardoso, he was born in Flamingos-Horta, on Faial, Azores (Portugal). 

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Josephine (Cavallaro) Amaral with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.  He leaves behind four daughters: Anita DeMarco from Winterhaven, FL; Joyce Seaver and her husband Wallace from Webster, MA; Carol Amaral-Ly and her husband Phuoc from Hockessin, DE; and, Linda Amaral-Zettler and her husband Erik from Den Burg, North Holland, The Netherlands. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, May 25th at Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, MA 02540 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 167 E. Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth, MA. 02536.
