Manuel S. Arruda, Jr of Bridgewater died August 7, 2017 in the Brockton Hospital at the age of 72. Mr. Arruda was born in Fall River and attended  Durfee High School. He had been living in Bridgewater the past 12 years where he moved from East and West Bridgewater. Prior to his retirement he worked at Mueller Corporation in E Bridgewater for several years.
 
Loving husband of Jeannette T. (Laroche) Arruda of Bridgewater. Father of Joseph M. Arruda of Bellingham and Anne M. Schuster of Bridgewater.  Brother of Arlene Payton of NY, Edith Blake of Fairhaven and Lisa Flynn of Carver. Grandfather of Jennifer R. Arruda and Jessica A. Svizzero. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater Saturday at 11:00am. Funeral Mass in St. John's Church East Bridgewater at noon. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm.  Burial in Central Cemetery East Bridgewater.
