Marcia R. Gill

Marcia R. (Ford) Gill, 80, loving wife of the late Bernard M. Gill died peacefully on Dec. 2nd.

Marcia was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Parsley) Ford and grew up in Quincy Point. She started working an early age and married Bernard M. Gill on May 16, 1956 and the two would live in Germany for a time before settling in Hanover and Weymouth. Marcia worked various jobs and retired from the Hammets in Braintree after 10 years. She loved camping, holdiday parties, cruises, visiting family in Newfoundland. She was a great singer in her younger years and was always happiest when she was with her kids.

Marcia was the loving mother of Patricia A. Zemeitus and her husband Joseph of Plymouth, Deborah M. Gill of Brockton, Nancy L. Walker of New Bedford, and the late Lisa J. Cousineau. Proud “Gram” of Michael, Annemarie and her husband Brian, Justin, Mark, Jessica, and Great Grandmother of Ava, Michael, Jr, Ashley. Kaitlyn, Jaccob, Jayce, and Jordan. Sister of Joseph Ford of FL, Jerome Ford of Weymouth, Elizabeth Ford of MA and predeceased by James, John, Catherine, Patricia, and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St. East Bridgewater MA 02324 on Thursday, Dec. 7th for a visitation period from 9:30-11:30am with Funeral Mass being celebrated at St. Johns Church, 210 Central St. East Bridgewater at 12:00 noon.

Burial will be held at Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
