Margaret E. Frazier
1929 ∼ 2017
Margaret “Peg” (Duffy) Frazier left this earth on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Chet in 2006. Anyone who knew Peg knew that she was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, both in spirit and in her service and kindness toward others.
Peg was born in Revere, MA to Bridget and Joseph Duffy, both of whom emigrated from Ireland to Boston in the early 1900’s where they met and married. She was the youngest of 5 children, all of whom predeceased her, Lawrence Duffy, Mary Dahl, Ann Vigliotti, and James Duffy.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1947. She married Chester Frazier in 1957 then with 6 children moved to Falmouth in 1968. She lived in the same house on English Street in Teaticket for 44 years and shared many happy memories with her family and friends, until moving to North Falmouth in 2011. In August 2015 she moved to Atria. Many people of all ages and backgrounds considered Peg a dear friend.
Peg was a vibrant and selfless part of Falmouth for close to 50 years. She taught CCD at Saint Patrick’s Church in addition to being a parish and community Eucharistic minister. She also volunteered at Around the Table and the Red Cross for several years until 2014. She was a faithful member of the senior center exercise group, her “knitting club” and going out to lunch with her many friends. Her Friday breakfast group at Atria was the highlight of her week. She will always be remembered for her sociability, her quick wit, and her warmth and sparkly smile toward everyone she met.
She leaves her six children; Thomas, of E Falmouth, Mary Ellen Carroll and her husband James of E. Sandwich, Joanne and her partner Michael Ryan of Scituate, Timothy of Pensacola Beach, FL, Christine of Pocasset, Eileen and her husband Paul Fox of N. Falmouth, and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Frazier of Mashpee. She also leaves her mutually adoring and doting grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Shyla Campeau, Bridget, Colleen and Shannon Carroll and Isaac and Chloe Fox, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren and many dear friends, including her lifetime best friends, Pat Love of Madison, Ct and Barbara Klick of Vienna, VA.
