Margaret “Peggy” Turner

1925 ∼ 2020

Margaret “Peggy” Turner, 95, of Cotuit, died at home after a long illness on November 8, 2020. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Turner.

Born in New York City, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Barnard University in NY, and later her Master’s Degree in French from Middlebury College in VT. She taught a course in French at Cape Cod Community College.

Margaret attended Our lady of Victory Church in Centerville as well as the Cotuit Federated Church in Cotuit. She enjoyed reading, classical music, art history, and literature. She was fluent in French and Spanish languages.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Susan Turner Bailey of Dartmouth, MA, grandson Benjamin O. Bailey of CA., three great grandchildren, Owen, Anna, and Nathan, all of California, four nieces, Marilyn Turner of Cotuit, Edith Hurlbert of Cotuit, Joyce Pratt of Florida, and Judy Fuller of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Turner and her daughter Anne-Marie Turner Doyle.

A graveside service will be held on Friday November 20, 2020 at 2PM in Mosswood Cemetery, Putnam Ave. Cotuit.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to VNA of Cape Cod Hospice.
