Maria Rodrigues

Maria Rodrigues, 87 of Sandwich, passed away peacefully at JML Care Center in Falmouth after a brief illness on August 9, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Rodrigues. Maria was born and raised in Brazil. She immigrated to the United States in 1954 and raised 5 wonderful children. Her greatest passion in life was being a homemaker and loving mother. She was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner at St. Anthony’s Church in East Falmouth. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Maria is survived by 5 children, Horacio Rodrigues and wife Tracy of Virginia, Renato Rodrigues and wife Gwendolyn Bacher and family of California, Elide Rodrigues of West Yarmouth, Ronaldo Rodrigues of Florida, Tracy Twigg and husband Albert of Sandwich, 2 grandchildren Valerie-Rodrigues DeJosephs and husband Josh, Wallace Twigg and wife Sandra, and 2 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee from 10:30am to 11:30am on Monday August 14, 2017. A funeral mass will follow at St. Anthony’s Church 167 East Falmouth Highway(Rte 28) East Falmouth at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA, 01701.
