Marie C. Malinowski

1924 ∼ 2017

Marie C. Malinowski, 92, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully at the Harbor Point in Centerville on February 15, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno Malinowski and daughter of the late Edwin and Marguerite Hannon.

Marie was a teacher for the Whitman Hansen public schools for 30 years until her retirement. During her career as a teacher she met her husband who was a coach in Whitman. After her retirement she became a parishioner at Christ the King Church and was a member of the Quashnet Valley Country Club. She was an avid golfer, Patriots fan, and loved hosting fireworks on the 4th of July for her family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Marie is survived by 5 Children, Barry C. Malinowski and wife Ann of Indiana, Patricia A. Malinowski of North Falmouth, Paula J. Malinowski of Florida, Pamela M MacNeil and husband Arthur of Weymouth, Page M. Malinowski of Hyannisport, her brother Barry Hannon of Braintree, her sister Patricia Hurley of Braintree, 4 grandchildren Barry, Daniel, Claire, Ryan, and 20 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Jeanne Grace and Edwin Hannon and her grandson Jamie Mello.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. Mashpee (Rte 151) on Saturday February 18, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:30am. A funeral mass will follow at Christ the King Church 3 Job’s Fishing Rd. Mashpee at 12:00pm. Burial will be held on Monday February 20, 2017 at 10:00am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Broadreach Hospice 390 Orleans Rd. North Chatham, MA 02650.
