Marie G. Orphanos

Marie G. (Mogauro) Orphanos, 84, of Bridgewater and formerly Randolph and Everett died peacefully on July 6, 2017 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Peter L. Orphanos.

Marie worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance for 37 years prior to her retirement. She moved to the Stone Meadow community in Bridgewater where she had many friends. She was Chairman of the Welcoming Committee and enjoyed welcoming and visiting all the new residents. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and taking trips with her senior friends to Foxwoods. Marie most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and two grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Orphanos Grubbs of Middleboro; her grandsons, Nicholas E. Grubbs and his fiancé Lisa Wing of Middleboro and Christopher P. Grubbs of Plymouth; her son in law, David G. Grubbs of Plymouth and her brother in law, Anthony Orphanos and his wife Sophia of Lowell. Marie is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
