Marie T. (Clifford) Silva
1963 ∼ 2017
Marie T. (Clifford) Silva, 53, of Attlebroro died peacefully after a long illness on July 16, 2017. Marie was the loving daughter of Mildred (Stegner) Clifford of Onset and the late Daniel F. Clifford. She was a graduate of BR Class of 1981 and proud member of the 81’er’s. She continued her education at Stonehill College and Bridgewater State University.
After Marie and William Silva married they raised their children in Attleboro and at their home outside of Lisbon Portugal. They loved to travel together around the world. Marie loved her job working for the state of Massachusetts helping adults who had disabilities. Her heart was caring and loving and her line of work was a testament to her character. Outside of work and traveling she could be found knitting, reading, gardening, canoeing, skiing, hiking and cooking. She was an accomplished chef who instilled in her own daughter Kate a love of food, tastes, and adventurous recipes that she was dearly proud. She loved sport cars and only drove a stick and instilled that love in her daughter Hannah. She enjoyed walking and was a member of The Over 40 Walkers.
Marie was the loving wife of William Silva of Attleboro and Portugal and devoted mother of Katherine A. Suphon and her husband Ratanasouk Suphon of RI and Hannah M. Silva and her companion John DaSilva of RI. Loving sister of Daniel Clifford Jr. of Onset, Gerard W. Clifford and his fiance Theresa Brown of Taunton, Christine M. Clifford and her husband Dean Williams of Bridgewater, Michael and Cheryl Clifford of N. Deighton, Brian Clifford and his wife Paula of Raynham, Siobhan Derrickson and her husband Paul of Wellsley, and Elena Clifford and her companion Mark Patterson of Boston. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She had an infectious laugh, a glorious sense of humor and to our great joy, died with a smile on her face.
