Marilyn I. MacAdam

1927 ∼ 2018

Marilyn Irene MacAdam of Bourne passed away peacefully on May 17, 2018.  She is survived by her brother Daniel Bruce MacAdam and his wife Susan of South Yarmouth, MA. She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Elizabeth MacAdam and Jean Ann (MacAdam) Quinn and brother Donald MacAdam. She was the beloved aunt to Mary Jean Fryar of Rancho Mission Viejo CA, Karen Quinn Quintin of Williamsburg VA, James Quinn and his wife Tracey of Raleigh, NC, Kevin Quinn and his wife Jamie of Westfield, MA, Maureen (Quinn) Mahoney and her husband Michael of Bourne MA, Robert Quinn and his wife Sonya, of South Berwick ME, Christina Izzo and her husband Jonathan of Peabody MA, Elizabeth MacAdam of South Yarmouth and Daniel Bruce MacAdam Jr.  She leaves behind many great nieces and nephews. She loved her dogs. She loved taking pictures of her whole family and giving slide shows when we all got together.

Ms. MacAdam lived in Canton MA and Dunedin Florida before retiring to Cape Cod. She graduated from Emmanuel College class of 57’ in Boston and pursued a modeling career in New York City. Marilyn returned to New England to pursue a career in education and was an English teacher in Medway (Ma) High School and Newport Richie Florida. While at Medway, Marilyn directed numerous high school musicals. Marilyn loved to cook and spend time with her family.  She loved to read and enjoyed the occasional Political discussion. Marilyn loved the Red Sox and would watch all the games. She was an avid gardener and loved to play cards especially the game hearts.

There will be a brief service on Friday, May 25, at 1:00 p.m. prior to her interment at St Mary’s Cemetery located at Washington St. & Randolph St. in Canton, MA.
