Marion E. Joergensen

Marion E. Joergensen, 92, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully at Atria Woodbriar in Falmouth on March 23, 2020. She was the beloved wife of John Joergensen and daughter of the late George and Maria Kestler.

Marion graduated from the Fashion Institute of New York. She worked as a dressmaker for many years until her retirement. She retired to Cape Cod and continued her passion as an organist at many local parishes throughout Cape Cod. She was also a member of the Senior Center and Big Brother Big Sister. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her husband John of 71 years, Marion is survived by her daughters Irene Nelson and husband Daniel of Old Orchard, ME, Janet Burke of Windsor, CT; five grandchildren David Nelson and wife Cindy, Christopher Nelson and wife Sarah, Erica Burke and fiancé Tim, Edward Burke, and Erin Burke; and three great-grandchildren Olivia, Owen, and Anna.

A graveside service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in East Granby, CT at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod, 434 Route 130, Suite D3, South Dennis, MA 02660.
