Mark A. Shaw, Jr.

Mark A. Shaw, Jr., 36, of Canaan, NY, died in a motorcycle accident that occurred July 27, 2017.  He was the father of Myron Shaw and companion of Kimberly Gordon, both of Canaan, NY, and son of the late Pamela (Girouard) Travis, who died about a year ago.

Mark was a dedicated father.  He was known for his engaging personality and infectious smile.  He exemplified the meaning of being a “free spirit.”

In addition to his son and companion, he is survived by his father and step-mother, Mark and Amy Shaw of Rochester; sisters, Sarah Lewis-Smith of New Bedford and Megan Bolia and fiancé Alex Bodyul of Rochester; brothers, Travis Shaw and wife Ashley of Tiverton, RI, David Shaw and wife Meg of Rochester, and James Bolia of Rochester; grandmother, Ethel Shaw of Westport; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Route 28), Wareham, MA. Visiting hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private.
