Mark McLaughlin

Mark Lindsay McLaughlin, 68, of Harwich, MA, died unexpectedly at home on March 25, 2019.  He was predeceased by his loving wife of 37 years, Jean Ann McLaughlin, his parents Una Claire Ball and Bernard Paul McLaughlin and his mother in-law and father in-law Ann and George Robbins. He leaves behind his daughter Erin S. Eldredge, granddaughters Lillian and Iris Eldredge, son in law Troy Eldredge, sister Donna Neville and several nephews, nieces and extended family.
Mark was born November 10, 1950 in Springfield, MA. He was raised primarily in the Boston area, moving to Cape Cod in 1978 and settling in his home in Harwich in 1980. Throughout his life Mark expressed a love and talent in several hobbies and interests including building mobile and RC airplanes, cars and train sets, swimming, fishing, golfing, gardening and music. Mark loved playing the harmonica and bass, especially the blues.
Mark was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, rarely missing a game. One his very first jobs as a youth was working at Fenway Park.
A carpenter by trade, working many maintenance/handyman jobs throughout Cape Cod, Mark could often be found in his garage working on a project, or by his pool that he lovingly maintained. Mark loved the outdoors, whether it was taking an extended walk with one of his dogs or grand-dog in Thompson's Field, getting in a "quick 9" on the links or simply soaking up sunshine in his chaise, listening to the Red Sox on the radio.
He was a longtime friend of Bill W..
Mark will be laid to rest, with his wife, at a graveside service that will be held on Saturday April 20th 2019 at the Island Pond Cemetery in Harwich Center at 4:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers please consider performing an act of kindness, or donating to a favorite charity.
