Mark R. Kaetzer

Mark R. Kaetzer age 58, of Bridgewater, died peacefully at home on Thursday August 3, 2017 after a courageous battle against cancer.
 
Mark leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Judy (Woodbury) Kaetzer. He was the proud father of John age 26 and Julie age 23. Mark is the son of Walter and Dorothy Kaetzer of Hanover; brother of Matthew Kaetzer and his wife Susan of Marshfield and Kristen Jacobson and her husband David of Hanover. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
 
Born and raised in Weymouth, Mark graduated from Weymouth South High School, Class of 1977. He was a first-class lineman at National Grid for the last 30 years. Mark was an avid golfer, reader and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Above all, Mark treasured quality time with his family. Mark will be remembered as honest and hard-working, a devoted husband, supportive father and loyal friend.
 
One of Mark’s favorite pastimes was going for walks with his wife and children. A local spot that provided him peace and solace was The Great River Preserve on Auburn Street in Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Mark Kaetzer Memorial Fund. Monies will be used to purchase and install a bench at The Great River Preserve in Mark’s memory. Contributions may be mailed to Bridgewater Savings Bank 14 Main Street, Bridgewater MA 02324.
 
Funeral services for Mark are scheduled for Monday August 7, 2017 at 9:30 AM at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater, MA.

Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in East Bridgewater, MA.
