Mary J. Hanney

FALMOUTH- Mary J. (Sergio) Hanney, 93, a resident of Falmouth, Ma and Marco Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 28 at the JML Care Center. Mary was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Luigi and Josephine (Lembo) Sergio. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Donald J Hanney.

She is survived by her four children, Ronald and Lori (Serpis) Hanney of North Falmouth, Karen and Bruce Kelleher of Bridgewater, Susan and David White of West Falmouth and Laurie and Rick Hill of North Falmouth. She was devoted to her twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren who all knew her affectionately as "Gramma". She is also survived by her loving sister, Irene DeLalla of Abington, her brothers Samuel Sergio of Bridgewater and Richard Sergio of Falmouth.

Visiting hours will be held at the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth HWY (Route 28A), West Falmouth, on Sunday, March 4, from 2-4pm. The Funeral service will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, March 5 at Chapman, Cole, Gleason Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
