Mary P. Farren

Mary P. (Gilboy) Farren, 72, of Mashpee, passed away surrounded by her children, at EPOCH of Mashpee on November 7, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J.M. Farren. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Knealy) Gilboy.  Mary grew up in Quincy and graduated from St. Gregory School in Dorchester. 

A long standing Cape Cod relator, she was voted Broker of the Year. Mary enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles by pen, the ocean and boating. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and loved hugs and kisses.

Mary is survived by her devoted three children, Christine McCaffrey of Mashpee, Michelle Farren of Mashpee, David Farren and his wife Heather of Mashpee, her brother Joseph M. Gilboy of Milton and sister Barbara Smith of Centerville, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., (Rt.151) Mashpee on Sunday, November 12 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 13 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Church, 3 Jobs Fishing Rd., Mashpee. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
