Mary R. McCoy

Mary R. McCoy (Arbuckle) of Avon passed away May 17, 2020 in the Sachem Center for Health and Rehabilitation at the age of 86.  Mary was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Mary (Dugan) and James Arbuckle and was raised and educated in Fall River. 

Mary served on the Board for Council on Aging in Avon for several years, enjoyed her yearly trips to Ogunquit, Maine at her family vacation spot and especially  enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren, Kelly and William.

Wife of the late James E. McCoy. Mother of Patricia Treloar of Avon and Gail Haggerty of Bridgewater. Sister of Janice Heddy of Fall River. Grandmother of Matthew, Michael and Keith Haggerty.

All Services for Mary will be private due to the Covid-19 restrictions, and Mary will be buried with her beloved  husband in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. 

In lieu of flowers please consider  a donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. 

The family would like to thank All American Assisted living for welcoming her to their community and the Sachem Center for their compassionate care.
