Mary Sem

1926 ∼ 2018

Mary Sem, 91, of Osterville, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018.  She was the beloved wife of Alfred A. Sem to whom she was married 69 years.

Mary was born in Boston in 1926 and raised her family in West Roxbury before moving to Osterville in 1995. She worked as a lunch aid in the Boston public school system for many years.

She loved spending time with Family and with her many friends at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Osterville. She enjoyed the beach and looked forward to her daily trips during the warm summer months.

In addition to her husband Alfred, Mary is survived by her Daughter Barbara Kelleher of Canton, Son Peter and his wife Joan of Pembroke and Son Paul and his wife Judi of Walpole and Granddaughters: Nicole and her Husband Arthur Brooks, Jessica and Jacqueline Kelleher, Amanda and Stephanie Sem.  Mary was predeceased by her brother Gino Finotti and son-in-law Barry Kelleher.

A period of visitation will be from 8:45 to 9:30 am at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd., Marstons Mills on Tuesday, September 11th .A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am following the visitation at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 76 Wianno Ave., Osterville.  Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
