Michael 'Mikey Weebs' Williams, of Falmouth, MA died on October 11, 2019 after a long, hard fought battle with addiction.
Mikey was born May 4, 1992 in Wareham, the son of Jeremy Bourbeau and Carly Williams. He attended schools in both Wareham and Bourne, graduating Upper Cape Tech in 2010 alongside his twin sisters Ariel and Caitlin.
Always the craftsman, Mikey worked with his hands. Whether it be putting up a shelf, putting on a roof, or some crazy project cooked up by his aunt Hildy, he was always building something in one form or another.
But most recently Mikey was building his future with the love of his life Megan. He was known for his laugh, his smile, and his innate desire to help everyone around him. He like so many other young men and women of his generation was stolen from us by a disease, one that knows no boundaries, one that doesn't discriminate. Black, white, old, young, rich, poor, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters; addiction is a problem that can affect anyone. Mikey was always open, and honest about his struggles. On his worst day would still encourage friends and strangers alike to get help, would be the first shoulder offered to cry on. He was a wonderfully compassionate soul, someone who's mark is etched into hearts of everyone he touched.
Mikey is survived by his parents Carly Williams of New Bedford, MA, his father Jeremy Bourbeau and stepmother Rachael both of Reno, NV. He leaves behind the woman he loved, Megan Foster of Falmouth. MA, and his in-laws Mary, Daniel and Corey. Michael is also survived by his paternal grandmother Barbara 'nana B' Bourbeau; his beloved sisters Ariel Goodwin (husband Robert and nephew Aiden Michael) of Reno, NV, Caitlin Williams of Brockton, MA, and Adrianna Bourbeau of Reno, NV; his brother Steven Attaya of Dedham, MA; uncle Jonathan Williams and his wife Jen along with his 3 nieces Abby, Arya and baby Kira; his Aunt Hildy Munro and husband Matthew; his niece Zoey, and nephew Roland.; his Aunt Maggie Williams or as he called her ‘Schmaggles’; his uncle Gary Williams and wife Julie; his aunt Sarah Bourbeau Yancey and her family; and aunt Heidi McCloskey and family.
In addition to Mikey's immediate family, he leaves behind the family he built in his friends, Kevin and Kathy Martin and the entire Martin family, The Bailey family, the Westgates, and a horde of others. His death is one that will be mourned by many. His memory will live on in the stories, the photos, and in the lives of us all.
We would like to encourage anyone reading this, anyone struggling, to reach out, ask for help, don't hesitate. You are not alone in your fight, we see you, and we want you to succeed. You deserve it, and you are worth it.
