MIldred M. Frye

Mildred M. (Barrows) Frye, 86, of Mashpee, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence Frye and the daughter of the late Barney and Justa (Baptiste) Barrows.

A lifelong resident of Falmouth, she was a member of the Falmouth High School Class of 1949. Mildred enjoyed eating out, fireworks, and the beach. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, friends, classmates and especially her grandkids.

In addition to her loving husband Lawrence of 63 years, Mildred is survived by her children, Laureen Frye of New Bedford, Laddie Frye and Michael Frye, both of Falmouth, and her sister, Edith Martins also of Falmouth. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and loved animals. She was predeceased by her son, Mark R. Frye, and her late siblings Elizabeth, Mary, Nelson, Alfred, Roger and Barney Baptiste. Also predeceased by her great grandson Lorenzo Frye.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., (Rte 151), Mashpee on Saturday, April 22 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Old Indian Cemetery, Mashpee. If desired donations may be made in memory to Mildred to the Mashpee Dialysis Center mailed to: The Patient Care Fund of Mashpee, P.O. Box 1222, Mashpee, MA 02649.
