Nancy B Tuttle

Nancy Briard Tuttle, of Nantucket, peacefully passed away Thursday,  October 5, 2017 at her home surrounded by family at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband, Sandy Tuttle, her son Scott Tuttle (and Stefanie), her son Skip Tuttle (and Jessica), her daughter Lee Costa (and Paul), her stepdaughter Laura O’Connell, her grandchildren Jackson, Wyatt, Olivia and Austin, her step-grandchildren Claire, Meegan, Benjamin, Avery and Mason, her brother Bill Briard (and Lila), and her beloved dog, George. She was predeceased by her parents, Barbara and Bill Briard and her brother, Jack Briard.

Nancy’s life began and ended on the beautiful island of Nantucket – a place that has always been her home. An educator, a traveler, a tennis enthusiast, a devoted wife and mother, and a wonderful, generous soul, she has lived her life to the fullest and on her terms. Her life has been blessed with family and close friends who always remained near and dear.

A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church on Centre Street in Nantucket. An informal reception will follow at the Angler’s Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket (pascon.org), 57 Prospect Street, Nantucket, MA.
