Nancy C. White

Nancy C. (McLain) White, 82, of Bridgewater and formerly of Easton died on September 3, 2017 at Wingate at Silverlake in Kingston.  She was the loving wife of Chester W. White of Bridgewater and daughter of the late Melvin and Ellen (Barrie) McLain.

Nancy grew up in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School before marrying the love of her life, Chet and moving to Easton where she raised her family before final settling in Bridgewater where they have been for the last 20 years.  She retired from Urology Associates of Brockton where she worked for over 20 years.  Nancy loved to crochet, go bowling, and was a competitive roller skater in her younger years.

In addition to her husband Chester Nancy is survived by her children, Cheryl Farwell and her husband Richard of NY, Chester White Jr. and his wife Jackie of Brockton, and Gary White and his wife Laura of NH; her sisters, Ellen Gallagher of FL and Kathy Duggan of Easton.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at 12:30 PM at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater followed by burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30 PM.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
