On Monday, November 16, 2020, Nancy Wall, loving mother of two children, passed away at the age of 62.
Nancy was born on May 17, 1958 in Pittsfield, MA to Leon and Ann (Mountain) Wall. She received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 1999, and she worked as a licensed mental health clinician for over 20 years on Cape Cod. She raised one son, Michael, and one daughter, Alexa.
Nancy was a loving aunt to Madeline, Harry and Libby Snyder, Julie Dostie and Missy Casella, and a loving great-aunt to Jack and Tyler Dostie. Family was always extremely important to her. She loved visiting family any chance she could and would go out of her way to make sure they knew they were special to her. She was a very compassionate and thoughtful person. Nancy loved to help people and be there for them when they were in need. She was a strong person, who kept on fighting for herself and her family until the very end.
Nancy had a passion for reading. When you saw her, you were likely to find a book in her hand. She also loved cooking and baking. Whether it was making curry, snickerdoodle cookies or a strawberry rhubarb pie, she always had a huge smile on her face when she saw anyone enjoying the food she had made. One of her favorite things to do was to recreate her mother’s recipes.
Before she got sick, Nancy had the travel bug. She loved to travel any chance she could. At one point, she moved to Hawaii with friends and ended up living there for many years. She was always happiest when she was traveling with friends or family, especially if there was a beach nearby.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Leon, her mother, Ann, her sisters, Margaret and Patricia, and her brother, Richard. She is survived by her two children, Michael and Alexa, her sisters, Jean Ketchum and Karen Snyder, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
