Nathan John Lyons

Nathan John Lyons, age 12, of Falmouth and formerly of Monument Beach, courageously passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Like a radiant shooting star blazing across the night sky, Nathan seized his life with a joyful intensity that touched everyone he met. His glowing smile and exuberant energy was a gift to the world. His outgoing, friendly way and positive outlook on life brought comfort to his family and harmony amongst his friends. Nathan had many interests that he bravely and happily threw himself into, such as swimming, hunting, fishing, skiing, boxing, singing in the chorus and playing! Be it snorkeling for starfish at Sandy Neck, racing through glades at Bretton Woods or simply building Legos with his brother, Dylan, every day was a great day for Nathan. His sweet life was just that, a series of one great day after another.  Countless people will miss him dearly. He will be long remembered for his kind and easy manner and his truly beautiful and radiant smile.

Nathan leaves behind his parents, Richard D. Lyons III and Jennifer Decker Lyons, and his brother, Dylan James Lyons of Falmouth; his grandmother Cinthia Decker of Monument Beach; his grandparents, Richard D. Lyons, Jr. and Deborah A. Lyons of Pocasset; and his great grandmother Priscilla L. Lyons of Pocasset.

Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, at the Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home located at 584 West Falmouth Hwy, WEST FALMOUTH. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
