Olivia “Luckie” Marie Johnson

Olivia “Luckie” Marie Johnson, 72, of Mashpee, died peacefully Saturday August 3, 2019 at home with her family by her side listening to her favorite Rhythm & Blues and Soul music.  Born in New Bedford, Luckie was the daughter of the late Armand and Minnie (Tabor) Alfama.  After graduating from Fairhaven High School in 1964, she married her love, Eric Johnson.

Luckie and Eric moved to Mashpee in 1974 where they raised their son Brian.

An administrative assistant for Hyannis Housing Assistance for 28 years, Luckie retired in 2017, due to illness.  Luckie was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time on South Cape Beach with a good book.

In addition to her husband Eric and son Brian, she is survived by her sisters Harriet Costa of Dartmouth and Lorraine Cathcart of Fairhaven; her brother-in-law Harold Johnson; her sisters-in-law Carole Johnson, Lori Johnson, Donna Johnson, and Loreena Johnson; dear friends Max, Mona and Toni; as well as many nieces and nephews, great friends and memories.

A visitation will be held at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave., (Rte 151) in Mashpee on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 pm.  Funeral Service will be held at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 am.  Interment will immediately follow at Great Neck Woods Cemetery, Mashpee.
