Pamela C. Wills, 51, of Mashpee, died on August 1, 2018. She was the mother of Celia Krefter and daughter of James A. and Celine B. (Melchiorri) Wills.
Pamela graduated from Mansfield High School in 1985 and from Georgetown University in 1989. In 1990, she moved to Germany, where she lived and worked for seventeen years. During that time, she was married, gave birth to her daughter, and saw much of the world. In 2007, Pamela and Celia moved to Cape Cod, where they were gratefully enveloped into the Cape’s thriving arts scene. Pamela and Celia shared a special bond—they were inseparable best friends. Pamela lives on in her daughter.
Pamela danced. Throughout her whole life, she brought joyful movement to the world as a performer, dance teacher, and choreographer. On the Cape, she choreographed shows at Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cape Cod Theatre Company, Eventide Theatre Company, and Brave Horse Music. One of her works, Love is Blind: A Tribute to Amy Winehouse, went to Broadway at Feinstein’s 54 Below. Pamela’s choreography and performances embodied the fun and exuberant way she lived her life.
Pamela inspired. A gifted writer, Pamela used her power for good. She wrote hundreds of articles and blog posts about building confidence, overcoming stage fright, and finding success in following your dreams. Her words inspired countless artists, entrepreneurs, and friends to find themselves and do what they love, just as she had.
Pamela shined. She was truly a shining light to everyone she met. Pamela was known by her family and many friends as a kind, loving soul who sprinkled positivity like fairy dust everywhere she went. She was a generous spirit, who helped people selflessly and made everyone feel like they belonged. Pamela believed in every person’s ability to achieve their dreams. She saw the potential in everybody, and often played a part in waking up that potential and making dreams come true. She will forever be remembered as the joyful, fun-loving, truly kind, and deeply caring light that she was.
In addition to her daughter and parents, she is survived by her brother, his wife, and their children, Greg Wills, Justine Filosa-Wills, and Gavin and Logan Wills; maternal aunt, Cynthia J. Melchiorri; maternal uncle, Anthony P. Melchiorri; and paternal aunts, Karen Darrah, Dorothy Sullivan, and Andrea Deusser.
All are welcome to join her family and friends to celebrate her life between 3:00-6:00pm on Sunday, August 12th at Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Rd, Cotuit, MA 02635. She will be privately interred at Great Neck Woods Cemetery in Mashpee. Notes of comfort may be made to her family at www.ccgfuneralhome.com.
