Patricia A. Mullane

1932 ∼ 2018

Patricia Ann Mullane, 85, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully at the JML Care Center on March 8, 2018 after a brief illness.

Patricia was the youngest of eight children born to William and Margaret (Sullivan) Morrissey of Peabody MA. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

She graduated from both St. John’s High School in Peabody and secretarial school in Boston, MA.

Patricia married the late Arthur J. Mullane in 1953. He was the love of her life. They resided in Peabody until 1963 when the family moved to Buffalo, NY. Patricia was a homemaker and an active member in the parish community. After the family moved to Falmouth in 1973, Patricia and Arthur owned and operated the East Falmouth Package Store until 1987. She was a pioneer at Southport of Mashpee where she had resided for nineteen years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting, playing bocce, and singing in the chorus. Most of all she enjoyed her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by four daughters, Ellen Mullane-Orsi and husband Dennis of Westport, MA, Kathy Trubiano and husband Paul of Marshfield Hills, MA, Ann Marie Ramey and husband Jack of Lutherville, MD, Judy Colburn of Downingtown, PA, five grandchildren Adam, Katie, Jack, Christopher, and Patrick. She was also the beloved “Auntie Pat” to many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Patricia was a strong independent lady, a true matriarch. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church 3 Job’s Fishing Rd. Mashpee, MA on Thursday March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Salem, MA on Friday March 16, 2018 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
