Patricia J. Urban

Patricia (Pat) Urban…gone to the great bridge game in the sky.

Pat was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where she lived her first forty-two years, and met the love of her life, Leo.  Pat and Leo were married for fifty-six years.

In 1968 Pat and Leo started on their great adventure, moving from Ohio to Wisconsin, New York, Michigan, Delaware, (back to) Michigan, Tennessee, (back to) Ohio, and finally Cape Cod (with a condo in Florida and land in Colorado thrown in the mix).   In addition, Pat and Leo traveled the world, visiting most countries in Western and Eastern Europe (before the Iron Curtain fell), Russia, and Asia.  Pat was especially proud of the many friends she met along the way.  Never one to shy away from a party, Pat had her last one two weeks ago on her ninety-third birthday.

Pat is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Helen Verba, and her husband Leo.  She is survived by her brother Tom, sister Lori, daughter Karen, sons Bill and Brian, seven grand-children, eight great-grand-children, and four great-great-grand-children.

The family wishes to recognize Pat’s many friends at Thirwood Place and thank the friendly and supportive staff of Liberty Commons and Cape Cod Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s honor in care of St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
