It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Patricia M. (Morse) Heath, 87, of Cataumet, MA, on April 10, 2019, at Tufts Medical Institute in Boston.  She was the wife of the late Robert M. Heath, who died in May 2003. 

Born in Concord, MA, and raised in Shirley, MA, she was the oldest of 7 children. She was a 1953 graduate of Fitchburg State College, earning her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s degree in Education and dedicated her life to the education of the young minds throughout the years. Patricia taught in the Falmouth School District for over 50 years, starting as a teacher at the Morse Pond Elementary School and continuing to substitute long after her official “retirement”. In addition to teaching in Falmouth, she also substituted in the Tucson, AZ school district.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth, and a member of the Women’s Guild of the VFW.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll B. Morse and Margaret P. (Mansfield) Morse, her husband, Robert M. Heath, as well as her sister Margaret “Rita” (Morse) Bertozzi, her brothers Edward Morse, George Morse and John M. Morse.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia M. (Heath) Mele and husband John Mele of Tucson, AZ, her sister Carole A. (Morse) Bradley and husband, Robert Bradley of Myrtle Beach, SC, and her brother Michael Morse and wife Janice Morse, of Falmouth, MA. She also leaves behind many heartbroken nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews who reside all over the country.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-8pm, on Tuesday, April 16th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Route 28A), WEST FALMOUTH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, April 17th at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd, North Falmouth. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
