Paula Fitzgerald

Paula Fitzgerald, 68, of Cotuit, formerly of Natick, passed away peacefully on July 5th after a 4 year battle with breast cancer with her beloved son by her side. Born in Natick, MA to George and Phyllis Fitzgerald, she graduated from Natick High in 1970 where she held the title of ‘Miss. Natick’. After high school, Paula continued her beauty career and was named 1971 Miss Atlantic City Beach Patrol before moving to Orlando, FL where she worked at Disney World for many years. She later returned to MA and eventually moved to the Cape where she met her longtime partner Rick Mycock and raised her son Christopher Fitzgerald.

Paula loved taking advantage of any opportunity to make others laugh. What brought her the most joy was being around children and animals, especially her own. Paula was a devoted and loving mother, who truly found pleasure in caring for all who were dear to her.

Paula is survived by her mother Phyllis, brother Thomas, longtime partner Rick Mycock, son Christopher Fitzgerald, and stepdaughter Katelyn Mycock; as well as all of her extended family and friends.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 11th, from 4-7pm at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave, Mashpee. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 12th, at 10am at St Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth.
