Paul P. McLaughlin

Paul P. McLaughlin, 85, of Wareham formerly of; Washington Court House, OH, Mashpee, Plymouth and Dennis, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, in Wareham.

Paul was born in Boston and spent his childhood on Cape Cod where he graduated class of 1950 from Dennis- Yarmouth Regional High School. He then went on the join the U. S. Navy in 1951 as a machinist’s mate aboard the USS Yosemite until his honorable discharge in 1955. Paul had a love for architecture and spent many years as an architect’s assistant & Clerk of the works overseeing the building of many schools and libraries throughout Massachusetts. He also enjoyed classic cars, model airplanes, the outdoors, and most of all spending time with the many loved ones in his life.

Paul was the beloved father of; Steven McLaughlin of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Robert McLaughlin and wife Petra McLaughlin of Mashpee, Massachusetts, Michael McLaughlin of Richmond, California, Justin McLaughlin and wife Racheal McLaughlin of Falmouth, Massachusetts; the cherished grandfather of three grandsons Oliver McLaughlin, Oakley McLaughlin, and Luke McLaughlin; the brother to David Orlandella, John Orlandella, Joeseph Orlandella, Jerome Orlandella, Bernadette Nelson, and the late Warren Orlandella, Daniel Orlandella, Theresa Orlandella; and the adored friend to many.

Despite his battle with dementia, Paul kept his sense of humor until the very end and will be sorely missed.
