Pauline E. DeBarros

Pauline E. DeBarros, 79, of Falmouth, passed away at the Cape Cod Hospital on January 27, 2020. She was born in Falmouth, one of twelve children of Frank and Elizabeth (Randall) Gonsalves.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Norman E. DeBarros, her children: Elizabeth DeBarros of Falmouth, and Norman DeBarros Jr. of Falmouth; her siblings: Sonya Avant of Randolph, Evangeline Lee of Enfield CT, Joan Avant of Mashpee, Arthur, Carl Sr. and Robert Sr. Gonsalves, all of Falmouth; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline was a graduate of Lawrence High School where she was a Lawrence High majorette. She was a school bus driver for the Falmouth public schools and Cape Cod Collaborative for many years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a proud member of the Cape Verdean Club for 50 years. Her favorite pastimes were playing Bingo, spending time at the casinos, but especially time spent with family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7pm on Friday, Jan. 31st at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Rt. 28A), WEST FALMOUTH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy (Rt. 28), E. Falmouth. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Gifford Street, Falmouth.
