Peter C. Tura

1946 ∼ 2018

Peter C. Tura passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 71. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Melrose, Massachusetts. Mr. Tura was a veteran of the United States Navy where he was stationed on the USS Intrepid. After the military, he achieved an Associates degree in business from Newbury College in Boston. His career turned towards meat cutting after working at the local supermarket, Cerratani’s in Melrose. Mr. Tura continued his lifelong career as a meat cutter in many businesses such as the Hilltop, Heartland and for the past 20 years, Costco in Waltham.

Mr. Tura most recently moved to Falmouth from Peabody to spend more time with his grandchildren, Kathryn McGann and Lauryn McGann. He enjoyed attending their concerts, dance recitals and softball games.

Mr. Tura was the husband of Louise Tura of Danvers, Massachusetts, father of Michele Tura and Scott McGann of Falmouth and Peter M. Tura and Adam Moore of Kittery, Maine.

Services will be private. A military burial at sea is planned.
