Peter Francis Leger

Peter F. Leger, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Liberty Commons in Chatham on January 31, 2021. He was the son of the late William and Edna Leger.

 Peter was born on September 19, 1944 in Taunton, MA., and graduated from Taunton High School. He served with the US Army from September 1964 – September 1967. Peter lived on Cape Cod and Port St. Lucie, Florida and enjoyed golfing, entertaining children on his stilts dressed as Uncle Sam and his family and friends.

 Peter is survived by his children Laurie Cavatorta of Brewster and her children Kyle, Colby and Cameron, Peter Leger and partner Brigid Durkin of South Yarmouth and their son Grayson, and Lisa Bellis and her husband Michael and their seven children. He is the brother of Mary Purrier of Sandwich, Edward Leger of Connecticut and was predeceased by his siblings William Leger, Marguerite Forbes and Maureen Sheerin. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

 Relatives and friends may gather at the Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth on Wednesday February 17 at beginning at 11:15 AM. A Procession will leave the funeral home at noon for a service with military honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:15 PM.
