Peter G. Drake, MD

Dr. Peter G. Drake, 89, of Osterville MA, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2017 at the JML Care Center in Falmouth MA, following a brief illness. 

Dr. Drake, a son of Greek immigrants, joined the Navy at 17 years of age, and then on the GI Bill, attended Tulane  University and went on to graduate from Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans. Dr. Drake was one of the founding members of Anesthesia Associates of Massachusetts.  He enjoyed a lengthy career as an anesthesiologist, practicing at the New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston, The Faulkner Hospital and the New England Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Drake leaves his wife of 45 years, Carol (Critsley) Drake, his daughter Maria Haseotes of Southborough, his son, George Drake of Wayland, his daughter in-law Mandy Drake, and his son in-law Hercules Haseotes. He also leaves his three beloved grandchildren, Charlie Drake, Peter Haseotes and Tory Haseotes. He will be missed by his beloved sisters, Ann Goulos of Peabody, Sophie Eordekian of Watertown and Falmouth, and Mary Casakos of Florida. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Drakopoulos.

Funeral services will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown Street, Weston MA, on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge MA.
