Raymond M. Perry

Raymond M. Perry

Raymond Marr Perry, age 64, of Seconsett Island, Mashpee, passed away unexpectedly on November 26th, 2017. He was the beloved son of the late Clifford B. Perry formerly of Mashpee and Falmouth and stepmother Joan Perry of Florida. He also leaves his mother Lorraine M. Perry of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Ray, as he was known, graduated from Falmouth High School and then honorably served in the United States Air Force. He proudly served as a police officer in both Houston, TX, and Carver, MA. He was a corrections officer for many years at Bridgewater State Corrections Facility until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, and loved boats and boating, and travel. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially taking his granddaughters for a ride. He rode for both pleasure and to raise money and awareness for many worthy causes with his close friends, his “Band of Brothers” as he called them, which is his respected biker group. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with those four Granddaughters-Emma, Leanna, Brooke, and Ella-who survive him, and his family and his friends. He really loved to joke and tease, was an expert at it. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Ray is also survived by his sisters, Bernice Perry Miller, Marian Perry-Combs and Catherine Williams Smith, all in Florida; his brother Thomas Perry of Pawtucket, RI, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother William E. Perry of Florida in Sept 2017.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Saturday February 10th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm.
