Richard C. Wilber, of Halifax, died on April 26, 2019 after a three year long battle with cancer. Richard was born in Farmington, Maine and grew up in Hanover, MA. Son of Audrey (Bradford) Wilber and the late Jack Wilber.

Richard was apart of the United States Navy from 1983-1987. During his time in the Navy he was set up on a blind date with his now wife, Teresa. He was very persistent and eventually won her heart over. The two married in 1985. After marrying Teresa, they moved to Halifax to raise their family.

Richard was a part of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4. He enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors; whether it be riding his motorcycle with his wife, ATVing, snowmobiling – or pretty much doing anything that involved a motor.

Richard was the loving husband of Teresa (McNeil) Wilber. Father of Amber R. Wilber of Taunton; and Samantha L. Wilber of Braintree. Grandfather to Adrianna, Kaylie, and Evalynn. Son of Audrey (Bradford) Wilber and the late Jack Wilber.  Richard was the brother of Randy Wilber of Maine; and the late Joanna Wilber. Half brother to Diane of Maine; and Joanne of Florida. Richard is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Bridgewater from 5-7PM with a Funeral Service starting at 7PM. Teresa has asked that each guest write down their favorite memory with Richard (appropriate or inappropriate) on a piece of paper so that they may be collected and shared during the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Richard’s name.
