Richard “Dick” Van Kleef Jr.

Richard "Dick" Van Kleef Jr, 77, of Cotuit, MA, left this earth Monday, May 15th 2017 after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family at his daughters home in Lancaster, MA. Richard was born June 15th, 1939 in Lansing Michigan. He was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl Beth, his parents RIchard Sr and Isabelle (Harding), and his brother Walter. He is survived by his supportive former Wife Judith Van Kleef (Duarte) of Hudson, NH, Sons Jeffrey of Pittsfield, Ma, Gregory of Bainbridge, Ga, Daughters Tammy Maher and her Husband Daniel of Londonderry, Nh and Connie Ciulla of Lancaster, MA. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, 6 loving Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson, Brother Harold and his Wife Susan of Osterville, MA, Brother Ted and his Wife Nancy of Haverhill, NH and his longtime devoted friend and partner Mary Gendron of Fountain Inn, SC. Richard worked for Carl F Riedell & Son as a Plumber for many years until his retirement and was very skilled and hard working in many other trades and activities. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, clamming, crabbing, gardening, hunting, was known for his delicious chili and was especially fond of cats. Antique collecting and selling with his dear friend, Mary Gendron, was a great passion of his as well. His beautiful blue eyes shone more brightly with his great sense of humor and smile. Richard was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and friend and will be missed greatly by all his family and friends. Visiting hours will be Saturday, May 20th 2017 from noon until 3pm at John Lawrence Funeral Home 3778 Falmouth Rd (Rte 28)Marstons Mills, MA.
