Richard J. Quigley, 59, of Raynham passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on August 28, 2018. Rich was born and raised in Lowell, attended Lowell High School and received a BS in Plastics Engineering from UMass Lowell. After college, Rich worked as an engineer in the plastic medical device field for many years.

Rich met his wife, Cindy Reynolds, at S-Kimo’s ski club and the two married in 2000. They lived in the North End of Boston before settling in Raynham where they raise their son Mark Christopher.

Rich was full of life and loved skiing, golfing, and going on adventures with his son Mark, among them Attitash Mountain in Bartlett NH. He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Rich was a supporter of the AbilityPlus and Best Buddies organizations. He was also an active member at St. Basil’s Church in Bridgewater.  Rich was known for his quick wit, generosity, and compassion.

Rich was pre-deceased by his mother and father, Christopher P. and Rita M. (Walsh) Quigley and his sister, Annemarie. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy (Reynolds) Quigley, and 17 yr. old son, Mark as well as his sister Rita Cerroni and husband Tony (FL), brothers Chris Quigley (PA), John and wife Debbie (NC), Ken and wife Mary Ellen (Lowell, MA), David and wife Chau (NH), Steven and wife Karen (ME), Vin and wife Jean of (No. Chelmsford, MA), and Paul (No. Chelmsford, MA).  Rich is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater MA on Monday September 3 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Tuesday September 4, at St. Basil’s Chapel (BSU) 122 Park Ave Bridgewater at 10:00am with a burial to follow at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham (687 Pleasant St, Raynham MA).
