Richard Renwick, formally of West Roxbury and Norwood, presently retired in Falmouth passed away peacefully at Royal of Cotuit on November 3, 2019. He was the beloved husband and best friend of the late Carolyn (Grosse) Renwick.
Richard worked as senior vice president of operations at Compugraphic Corp & AGFA he was there for 35 years. He also served as a member of Junior Achievement since 1980 raising funds promoting financial literacy for children. He also started the first Junior Achievement Golf Classic which has help raise over 3 million dollars since its inception. In earlier retirement, he enjoyed volunteering with his wife. They were in the mentoring program at Falmouth High School and helped start the Cancer support group at Elizabeth Seton Parish in Falmouth. He was an avid reader and loved watching sports, playing tennis and golfing. He was a member of Walpole Country Club for over 50 years. He also enjoyed going to the Cape Cod Symphony. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Richard is survived by four loving children; his sons Richard A. Renwick and wife Yvonne of Westwood, Paul D. Renwick of Norwood, his daughters Mary T. (Renwick) Caggiano of West Harwich, Carolyn A. (Renwick) Giampetruzzi of Manchester, NH; loving brother to Douglas Renwick and Eileen Eddy; beloved Grandfather to Richard A. and Ariana C. Renwick of Westwood, Nicole M. of Chicago and Joseph A. Caggiano of New York, and Ashley M. and Carmen Richard Giampetruzzi of Manchester, NH; beloved brother-in-law to Jacqueline Leonard and Roberta Marks; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 9:00am to 10:30am. A funeral mass will follow at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Rd., North Falmouth at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
