Robert A. Chicoine
1965 ∼ 2018
Robert A. Chicoine Jr. died peacefully, but unexpectedly at his home on July 30th at the age of 53. Rob was the most amazing dad, son, and brother to his family. Rob was a quiet man, but once you got to know him, he was one of the funniest people you would ever meet. His dad jokes and one liners will forever be missed. He knew how to make the best of every situation and could always put a smile on our faces even in the hardest of times.
He was the loving son of Margaret “Peggy” Chicoine of Bridgewater and the late Robert A. Chicoine Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, graduating from BR in 1983 as a star soccer player and wrestler. He graduated from Stonehill College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science. He raised his two children with his former wife of 27 years, Patricia Chicoine in Bridgewater. They were at every sporting event, recital, and function for their children. His family was his entire world. He worked retail for many years and decided to become a nurse in his 40’s. His family was extremely proud of his decision. After graduating from Brockton School of Nursing, he began the career he truly loved. Following graduation, he worked at Men’s Addiction Treatment Center in Brockton and NORCAP Addiction Treatment Center in Foxboro. He was beloved by his co-workers, and his patients admired his kindness and care. The things Rob enjoyed most in life were family trips to Aruba, fishing, hunting, sitting on the beach, watching his favorite team, the Patriots, and spending time with his family. He was the devoted father of Michael R. Chicoine and Stephanie M. Chicoine of Bridgewater. Brother of Timothy P. Chicoine and his wife Anna Maria of Salem, Barbara J. Baker of Taunton, and Kevin M. Chicoine and his wife Melissa and his late wife Janice of Middleboro. He will be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. We love you dad.
