Robert C. Clow, 84, of Mashpee, formerly of Weymouth and Falmouth, passed away after a brief illness on August 29, 2017, with his daughters by his side. He was the husband of the late Ann F. (Crehan) Clow to whom he was married 62 years, and the son of the late Albert and Katherine (Courtney) Clow. Bob, (Buddy) Clow graduated from Weymouth High School, class of 1950. He served in the US Army from 1950 to 1953, and was stationed in Germany. Upon his return home, he attended Boston University, and graduated with a BA in Biology. He worked in the medical field as Vice President of Marketing for various laboratories and diagnostic companies prior to his retirement, after which he became a consultant. His career involved international travel, and took him as far away as Iran. Bob loved his family, Cape Cod, boating, reading and the Bahamas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen Clow and Todd Kelly of Mashpee, and Kathy Clow-O’Neill and husband Daniel O’Neill of Mashpee; four grandchildren, whom he adored, Anna, Bridget, Robert and Catherine O’Neill; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother, Albert E. Clow of Long Boat Key, Florida.
Visiting hours will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (off Rte. 151) Mashpee. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, September 2nd at Christ the King Church, 3 Job’s Fishing Rd. Mashpee, followed by a reception. Interment with military honors will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 4th at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations may be made to People for Cats, P. O. Box 422, W.
