Robert D’Auria

Robert A. D’Auria, 82, of Mashpee, formerly of Bedford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 3, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Janice D’Auria and son of the late Hugo and Helen D’Auria.

Robert graduated from Arlington High School and served in the United States Army National Guard. He proudly served with the Bedford Police Department and ultimately retired as a Sergeant in 1998. He was a K-9 handler and member of the NEMLEC. He and his wife moved to Cape Cod where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his loving wife Janice of 62 years, Robert is survived by his 4 children, Robert D’Auria and wife Anna, of Chelmsford, MA, Richard D’Auria and his wife Julia of Merrimack, NH, Russell D’Auria of Boxborough, MA, Diane (D’Auria) and husband, Gary Doodlesack of Reading, MA, his sisters, Cynthia D’Auria of Marlborough, MA, Barbara Marshall of Woburn, MA, Grandchildren, Christina Milligan, Robert D’Auria Jr., John D’Auria, Annika D’Auria, Amanda Doodlesack, Garrison Doodlesack and Jeff D’Auria, great-granddaughters, Emma D’Auria and Isabella Milligan.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee, on Monday July 8, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home on Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Great Neck Woods Cemetery in Mashpee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Cape Cod 434 Route 134 Suite D-3 South Dennis, Ma 02660.
