Robert F. Walsh

Robert F. Walsh, 65 of Marstons Mills, passed on May 1st in Fort Myers FL, surrounded by his family after a brief and sudden illness.

He is survived by his beloved bride of 47 years Christine(Schneider), daughter Erin of Mashpee, son Jason of Brewster, his adoring grandchildren Harrison, Katherine and Ellie, sister Lynda(Colburn) of Bourne, brothers Kevin of Chicopee, Steve of Bourne and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother David of Marstons Mills.

Born December 27th, 1952 in St Albans, VT to the late Katherine (Greeley) and David Walsh. The family moved to Rockland, MA in 1959 where Bob attended Holy Family School and graduated from Rockland High School in 1970. Bob and Chris married November 20th, 1971. The two would begin their family in Rockland before moving to Cape Cod in 1986 to Forestdale and Marstons Mills in 1993.

He had a strong work ethic and held many jobs from the earliest caddying at Rockland Golf Course to a long career in grocery management with Angelo's, Star Market and Stop and Shop. He was an Officer of the Trial Court for 15 years. He brought Christmas joy to children as a real beard Santa, his favorite job.

Bob had a passion for life, for music, for the beach and camping the great outdoors from to Berkshires to Sandy Neck, for his family and his great many friends all of whom will dearly miss his stories, his advice, his wit and humor, his love and kindness, and his friendship. He was a darn good dancer.

The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00pm, Monday May 21, 2018 at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Rd, Mashpee, MA. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 22 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Parish, 3 Jobs Fishing Rd, Mashpee, MA.
