Robert Griswold

Robert D. Griswold, 82, of Mashpee, formerly of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine Griswold and son of the late Merle and Helen Griswold.

Robert graduated from Mansfield High School. He served in the United States Marines from 1955 to 1959. He worked as a product forecaster for the Foxboro Company for many years, and later at Waters Corporation. He enjoyed photography, especially taking pictures of wildlife and nature. Several of his photographs were featured in local publications. He also had a passion for gardening and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving father and brother and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Robert is survived by three children, Eric Griswold and wife Joy of Charlestown, RI, Paul Griswold and wife Lynn of Cromwell, CT, Julie Griswold of Attleboro, his brother Lawrence Griswold, his sister Patricia Randall, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee on Sunday October 6, 2019 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod 255 Independence Dr. Hyannis, Ma 02601.
