Robert H Bumpus

Robert H Bumpus of Stoughton, born April 16 1957 formerly of Bridgewater, Ma died after a lengthy illness at the age of 59 on April 11, 2017. He was the son of the late Robert E. Bumpus and the late Ruth Bumpus Corderio.

He is survived by his four siblings. Debbie Odonnell of CT, Lauretta Ring of E'B'Water, John and Laurie Bumpus of Truro, and Jeffrey Bumpus of Whitman, Ma., and his longtime girlfriend Virginia Atkins of Sandwich, also 3 nephews and 1-niece. Peter and Charles Blanchard of Ma. and Sean and Meghan O'Donnell of CT along with 9 great nieces and nephews, and many many cousins.

He was born and raised in Bridgewater, Ma. He graduated from Bristol-Plymouth Vo-tech in 1975 as a printer where he mastered his trade, he loved being a printer and worked for many years before becoming ill. He had many interests. Traveling with his girlfriend, cooking he loved to cook and eat. bike biding down the canal, He loved the outdoors! blue grass music, fishing, and playing darts.He was in tournaments where he won championship plaques, he was that good. He had a big heart, a bright smile with an infectious laugh and he will be greatly missed by all.

Visiting hours will begin Tuesday April 18th at 4:00pm in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 98 Bedford Street Bridgewater and conclude with a Funeral Service at 6:30pm.
