Robert L. “Bob” Morley, 83, of Pocasset, died suddenly on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Falmouth Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Vahey) Morley for 51 years.
He was born in Stoneham and raised and educated in Malden. He was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School and Bentley College graduating with a BS in accounting. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
With Patricia, he raised his family in Watertown until moving to Pocasset in 1998. He worked for Itek Corp. as an Accounting Administrator until his retirement in 1995. Bob enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan, especially college sports, and was a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his three children, Erin Viehl and her husband, Kenneth of Pocasset, Kelly Hernandez and her husband, Odvan of Cataumet and Thomas Morley and his wife, Kerrin of Westford; his three grandchildren, Odvan, Robert and Brendan; and sister Ann Morley of Naples FL. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Mary, John, Donald, William, Peter and Janet Morley Guerin.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb 7 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, in the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (route 28A), West Falmouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb 8 at 11:00am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd., Pocasset. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
