Robert W. Eubanks

Robert W. Eubanks, 78

Robert W. Eubanks, of Cotuit, passed away on October 24, 2020 at Cape Cod Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in 1942 in Medford, MA, the son of Robert F. Eubanks and Virginia R. (Wood) Eubanks. He graduated from Tufts University in 1964 with a BA in Government. He then went on to a successful career in Information Systems with time spent at The Travelers Insurance Companies, Utica National Insurance Group, and Crum and Forster Corporation. In 1981 he accepted a position as Director, MIS, at Wright Line Company in Worcester, MA.

At the end of 1989 he and his wife Barbara relocated to a house they designed and built in Cotuit. In 1990 they purchased a small manufacturing company that made luggage and sheepskin products for the equestrian industry. After growing the company sales from 85 stores to over 400, the company was sold in 2001.

In 2003 Bob and Barbara moved to upstate NY and enjoyed time on the St. Lawrence River, the Finger Lakes, and trips to the museums, art galleries, and the symphony in Rochester, NY. They moved back to Cotuit in 2010 to be closer to his sons and their families. He loved lazy summer afternoons on his deck, shows at the Cotuit Center for the Arts, and time with his adored rescue dog – Meggie.

Predeceased by his parents, Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara, his sons and their wives, Robert S. Eubanks (Malin), Stephen S. Eubanks (Kimm) and his much loved grandsons, Gunnar and Erik. He also leaves behind his sister, Judith Worlock, and nieces Wendy and Sara. He will be missed terribly.

In keeping with his wishes, services will be private.
