He was a graduate of Bridgewater Academy, Class of 1949 and married the beloved late Marcella “Mickey” Burke on February 3, 1952 . He was a gifted mason for many years and later worked for the Town of Bridgewater School Department, retiring at 65.

If you knew Bob you would know his garage was his pride and joy, a place where he would work on engines, and tinker with small motors, fixing things was his way of relaxing. He was a true car enthusiast and at one time owned a purple 2 seater Morgan Sportster. Bob and Mickey had a great group of friends they socialized with.  Friday nights was always pizza and beer at the Vets club and morning coffee was with mechanic buddies around town. Bob was a great family man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bob was the devoted husband of the Late Marcella Parmenter and loving father of  Linda J. Souza and her husband Ronald of Middleboro, Marcy A. Schmuck and her husband Peter of KY, Diane Parmenter and Paul Varney, Scott Parmenter and Michelle Frates all of Middleboro. Brother of Joanne Munice of Bridgewater, and stepbrother to Peter Jesalitis and Paul and Ray Chase.  Proud Grandfather of Holly, Kelly, Carey, Monika, and Eric, and great Grandfather of Justin, Dylan, Asher, Kaisen, Gracey May, Shelby, Lenix, and great great Grandfather of Logan; born on March 10th.
